When going after your dreams and goals, sometimes the path ahead may seem unclear or overwhelming. In such moments, having a tangible representation of our goals can be a powerful motivator and guide. Enter the vision board – a creative and inspiring tool that has gained popularity for its ability to help individuals clarify their objectives and manifest their aspirations. In this blog post, we’ll explore what a vision board is, how it works, and why it can be a game-changer in helping you reach your goals.

Understanding the Vision Board:

A vision board is a visual representation of your goals and dreams, typically created by collecting and arranging images, quotes, and affirmations on a board or any other display surface. The idea is to create a collage that reflects the life you aspire to live, incorporating elements that resonate with your deepest desires and ambitions.

How It Works:

  1. Clarifies Your Goals: A vision board acts as a focal point for your goals, offering a clear and concise visual representation of what you want to achieve. By selecting and arranging images that resonate with your aspirations, you create a powerful reminder of your objectives.
  2. Activates the Law of Attraction: The law of attraction suggests that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person’s life. By consistently focusing on your vision board and the positive elements it contains, you’re actively engaging with the law of attraction, drawing those desires closer to reality.
  3. Boosts Motivation: A vision board serves as a motivational tool by offering a tangible reminder of your dreams. When faced with challenges or setbacks, a glance at your vision board can reignite your passion and determination, helping you push through obstacles.
  4. Encourages Visualization: Visualization is a powerful technique used by athletes, performers, and successful individuals across various fields. Your vision board serves as a daily visualization exercise, reinforcing the belief that your goals are achievable and aligning your thoughts with your desired outcomes.
  5. Promotes Positive Mindset: Surrounding yourself with positive and inspiring images fosters a positive mindset. This, in turn, can influence your attitude, decision-making, and overall approach to challenges, creating a more conducive environment for success.

In the book “The Success Principles” by Jack Canfield, one of my favorite books, he talks about why pictures can absolutely help you achieve your goals.  For example if you want a certain car, go to the dealership and have someone take a picture of you behind the wheel to put on your vision board.

Or if you want to go on a trip, find a poster of it and cut out part of it and then cut out a picture of yourself and place yourself there.

If your goal it to become wealthy, you might want to write yourself a check for example $1,000,000 or print out your bank statement and alter it so it reads what you want it to read.

An example of how this worked for Caryl Kristensen and Marilyn Kentz (“The Mommies”) is they made a vision board of everything they wanted to achieve and without exception, everything they put on there came true!  It’s because our subconscious mind thinks in pictures.

I have a vision board and it has been powerful in helping me achieve my goals.

Here is a vision board I recommend that you can put your images in and look at it every day to create that repetition in your subconscious mind and achieve your goals.  Check out the vision board here.
