Neville Goddard, a renowned metaphysical teacher, is celebrated for his profound insights into the power of the human mind and its ability to shape reality. One of his most transformative techniques is the Revision Process, a method designed to rewrite your past, reshape your present, and ultimately, manifest your desired future. In this blog post, we’ll delve into the core principles of Neville Goddard’s Revision Process and provide a step-by-step guide on how to use it effectively.

You can do this for past events that were traumatic, past events that were not as you wanted them to be, or at the end of your day to revise how you would have wanted certain events to go during your day.  Doing this right before going to bed is super powerful because as you go to sleep, you remember the good things as you would have wanted them rather than things that did not go well.  And that’s what your subconscious mind has to work with as you sleep.

Understanding the Revision Process

Neville Goddard’s Revision Process revolves around the idea that your present circumstances are the result of past thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. By revising your past in your imagination, you can alter the energetic blueprint of your reality, thereby changing your current experiences and future outcomes.

Step 1: Self-Reflection

Before you embark on the Revision Process, take some time for self-reflection. Identify areas in your life where you are dissatisfied or wish to make improvements. This could be related to relationships, finances, health, career, or any aspect of your life that matters to you.

Step 2: Identify the Undesirable Event

Choose a specific past event or circumstance that you believe has contributed to your current situation. This event should be directly related to the area of your life you wish to revise.

You can write down every event in your past you would like to change to a different outcome.  I can think of a handful of things I would have wanted to go differently.  Then you can work on these events one by one.

Step 3: Relax and Enter a Meditative State

Find a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to relax your body and mind. You want to reach a meditative state where your conscious mind becomes less dominant, allowing your imagination to take center stage.

Step 4: Reimagine the Undesirable Event

In your mind’s eye, vividly recreate the undesirable event as if you were watching a movie. Feel the emotions and sensations associated with this event as if it were happening in the present moment. Allow yourself to experience it fully.

Step 5: Rewrite the Scene

Now, the crucial part begins. Mentally intervene in the scene and change the outcome to reflect what you desired to happen instead of what actually occurred. Imagine the ideal scenario with all the details, emotions, and sensations involved. Make it as vivid and real as possible.

Step 6: Feel the Desired Outcome

Feel the emotions associated with the revised scene as strongly as you can. The more intense your emotional involvement, the more effective this process becomes. Imagine the joy, relief, and satisfaction you would feel if this revised event had truly occurred.

Step 7: Repeat as Necessary

You may need to repeat this process several times, especially if the undesirable event has left deep emotional imprints. Each time you revise the scene, reinforce the belief that the new version is the real memory.

Step 8: Gratitude and Letting Go

Express gratitude for the changes you’ve made in your imagination and release the old, undesirable version of the event. Let go of any doubts or fears associated with the past. Trust that your revised version will influence your current reality.

Step 9: Live in the End

Now, start living your life as if the revised event actually happened. Make decisions, take actions, and maintain the beliefs that align with your desired outcome. Live in the end, believing that your reality is changing to match your revised past.

Neville Goddard’s Revision Process is a powerful tool for reshaping your life by changing the way you perceive and remember past events. By following these step-by-step guidelines, you can tap into the immense creative potential of your mind and align your reality with your deepest desires. Remember, consistency and belief are key to making this process work effectively. As Neville himself said, “Assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled,” and watch your life transform before your eyes.
