What is EnvyTV?
EnvyTV is a brand new streaming service that boasts over 140 popular cable television channels. The new streaming service was founded by Clay Samson and Eddie Freeman and launched on January 1st, 2019. This new service aims to change the game when it comes to how people watch their favorite television shows. Not only does this service differ slightly from other streaming services with its product, but it also offers an affiliate program which allows customers to make money by promoting their services.
EnvyTV states that they are hoping to change lives by offering a great business opportunity while simultaneously providing a quality product that their customers will love. They promote treating others as one would like to be treated as part of the EnvyTV lifestyle. In addition, Envy says that they want their affiliates to help each other grow as opposed to competing with their own downlines. As a part of their purpose statement, they announce that a percentage of the profits generated are donated every six months to charities where their affiliates live. EnvyTV asserts that they would like their brand to become known for the success that their affiliates find by promoting their business and the company’s services.
The unique spin that this company puts on its television packages is the fact that it is also an affiliate marketing company. Although some people may have a negative view of these companies, the increasing popularity of this business model seems to indicate that they can work. People may sign up as an affiliate of a company in order to start a business or they may want the perks of discounted products and services. EnvyTV’s compensation plan seems to be similar to other companies, including free service after signing up 5 or more customers. The price point to stream EnvyTV as a customer only is $49.95 per month. This includes popular cable television channels along with premium channels such as HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime. Also included are sports channels that can cost a pretty penny with other services.
To become an affiliate, one of two packages must be purchased. A third package can be purchased in order to rank higher within the company. The first package is the basic affiliate package that includes eight member starter certificates and the affiliate’s first month of EnvyTV. It can be purchased for $257. The second is the field affiliate package, which is a slightly larger package offering ten member starter certificates and the affiliate’s first month of EnvyTV for $497. The third package is slightly different in that it can only be purchased after enrolling a minimum of six people. It includes ten member starter certificates along with six basic affiliate certificates and two field affiliate certificates for $997.
There are several different ways to be compensated by the company. The first is the customer referral bonus. This is the main way to make money from this platform and pays out $10 per month for each customer a member has signed up, as long as they continue to use the streaming service. Additional residual income can also be earned from an affiliate’s downline. For each new customer that their downline signs up, they make $2 per month. This bonus appears to be uncapped.
In addition, EnvyTV offers a coded bonus which pays out for each new affiliate that a person adds to their downline. This bonus is $75 when the person purchases a basic affiliate package and $150 if they decide to go with the field affiliate option. They also pay out $300 anytime someone in the downline decides to become a senior field affiliate. This company also offers a fast start bonus. Once a person has sold all of the certificates that they purchased in their starter set they receive a bonus of $35 per certificate on top of the $10 that is received monthly. There does not appear to be a time limit to qualify for this bonus. Additional bonuses can be earned by moving up the ranks of the company.
EnvyTV appears to have several high notes, but is it really the next big affiliate marketing company? The services offered by EnvyTV appear to be a high value for the price point. However, the streaming industry is a massive one with more companies popping up each year. This could mean a high competition level for Envy. Additionally, many similar companies rely upon people signing up as affiliates rather than customers. This out-of-the-box approach by Envy to use affiliates rather than typical marketing schemes might pay off, but it also may not. While members may stand a better chance of growing their business due to the fact that this service is not as common as others in the affiliate marketing world, they may also find more people who are wanting to join as a customer only rather than as an affiliate.
