When you are looking at how to build your business online, ironically the place to start is with a correct mindset. I learned this from Daegan Smith, one of the top internet marketers in the world. He said to ask yourself if you are starting a business because it’s something you love to do long term or are you starting a business because you need money now?
If your answer is the second response, maybe a business wouldn’t be the right thing for you right now. That’s not to say that you cannot come online and make money, but if your mindset if that of desperation, you should look at other avenues to make money.
If we start to think about how to build a business online as a way to bring a product or service that fulfills a need, then we are on the right track. When we think in those terms, we are not coming from a place of desperation, but a place of inspiration. The money will follow your ability to fill a need or solve a problem many people may have.
