Back Pain Solutions For Internet Marketers

by karen on June 16, 2010

Since I am a person who likes to focus on solutions rather than problems, I am going to give you my expert advice on some back pain solutions for internet marketers. In my 20+ years as a physical therapist, I have seen many people suffer from back pain and I can say that sitting at a computer for long periods is a great contributing factor.

As I told one of my friends, who I recommended this advice to, you can’t become a millionaire and then have a bad back! I have seen patients with all the money in the world who suffer from back pain. It’s a tricky problem to fix and if money could fix it, then there wouldn’t be so many people who have it. Over 4 million people search a month for the key word back pain and I can guarantee you it’s not because they are searching for how to get it!

Check out this video where I explain how to prevent back pain in the first place, which is much easier than to treat it.

I have a couple more tips which have been invaluable for me. As internet marketers, we spend a lot of time sitting in front of the computer and I think money spent on the health of your spine is well spent because you only have one back (until someone figures out how to replace it like they have knees and hips!)

Here’s some things I have purchased recently. The first is a zero gravity recliner which you can get at http://www.relaxtheback.com. It puts zero pressure on your back and you can feel immediate relief when sitting in it.

Then I tried to figure out how I could recline in it and still get my work done. I found this great table on the same website and can put my notebook computer on it and work semi lying down (now that’s the life!).

So, by spending some time on my desktop and then going to the recliner, I save myself from having pain by changing positions. If you’ve never tried one of these recliners, I can honestly say this is the most relaxing chair I have found and everyone deserves to own one.

I hope you take this information and apply it so not only will you become wealthy as an internet marketer, you will also FEEL like a million bucks! Here’s to many years of great health and prosperity.

Hi Karen,
Thanks for the back tips. I get back pain usually when I am lying down sleeping – I wake up to pain in my lower back which drives me crazy, so thanks for the sitting tip – I am slouching as I type!! I find when I exercise regularly, especially the core or tummy exercises really strenghtens the inner and eliminates my back pain. Thanks for sharing

Hi Sharon,

Glad you received value from this information. Sometimes I find that if people follow good back care during the day and do the correct exercises, their pain at night goes away. If you have a good supportive mattress that is not too old and still have pain, there are sleeping rolls to put around your waist from McKenzie. I always feel a mechanical problem will also have a mechanical solution. Best wishes to you. Karen

Well there Karen!

I was just a few days ago showing off to my wife
about a new fangled idea I had on making something
to prop up my laptop at a weird angle.

Because my back can’t take it any more when I sit
on the edge of my computer chair to reach the desk.

It’s no fun to use the keyboard while supporting
my upper body with my elbows on the table!

Just looking at your pictures of recliner plus
the shelf-table on rollers inspired me!

Thanks!

Hi Robert,

Thanks for stopping by. It’s great to meet you. Glad you were inspired to think of new ways to take care of your back and prevent pain. The picture of the table does not actually show that there is a section that can be propped up, to hold a laptop at about a 45 degree angle, rather than flat like the image shows. Take care and stop by again. Karen
